4th of July in Indianola is fantastic!!! It starts the Saturday before the 4th with fireworks from a barge near the dock. One of the local family puts on a great show for all of Indianola to share. We walked down to the boat ramp with Uncle Mike and the Wests so we could see the show. The guys brought some sparklers and fun little fireworks for the kids and we were surrounded in all directions by fireworks. The show itself was great and there's something really cool about watching fireworks from the beach. Not to mention the fact that we walked from home and didn't have to fight any crowds!!
Suquamish fireworks. Living next to an Indian Reservation has its perks!
I was super impressed by how brave my cautious little son was. His first sparklers!! I think Uncle Mikey had a lot to do with that.
Olivia, my throw-caution-to-the-wind girl, did NOT enjoy all the booms around her or the little fireworks the boys were doing. But she was happy safe in daddy's arms.
All cuddled up with my medium and little baby (under the blanket).
Amazing!!
Becky and her bundled up Braydon.
There was also a lot of celebration on the 4th. We geared up and headed into Kingston for a parade and a fair. It's fun having little ones that really get into these things now!
I did this to us. I'm not ashamed... OK, maybe a little embarrassed. It's SOOOOO cheesy, but also fairly cute.
Paul's first pony ride. He actually really enjoyed it, no matter how pained his face looks. He was concentrating. It's important to keep control of your pony.
Paul got to get his face painted this time!!
And Olivia got another butterfly.
There were also a bunch of bouncy houses and slides. Olivia loved the bouncy house and Paul braved the slide with the big kids!
The parade was great! Lots of candy and fun trucks.
