Paul Fitch - Big Boy

Paul is getting older every day.  Today he looked very mature sporting his fancy sweater and jeans, courtesy of Aunt Shannon and Uncle Mike.  He also got his first haircut this week, courtesy of Mommy.  It was quoted as "the worst haircut ever" by my dear husband.  I guess that's why you start practicing when they're too young to care.

Paul can walk just about anywhere now, as long as he holds on to something.  He has taken a few steps, but it seems like he is waiting to truly master the skill befor he heads off on his own.

When I put Paul down today at daycare he quickly found some toys to play with.  Then he realized I was leaving, turned to me, and waved and said "Bye, Bye."  It was great!!  Not only was he not screaming, but he figured out what bye bye means and connected it to mommy dropping him off at daycare.  Ok, at least I thought it was cool.

We were going to take some more pictures after school, but he once again came home in a different pair of pants than what I sent him in.  I guess he's not that much of a big boy.

Redskins day!!

Matt, who is married to the best wife in the world, Lisa, got to enjoy the Redskins game first hand this Sunday.  Lisa's work had 4 tickets that were going to go unused, so we snatched them up and sent Matt, Joel, TJ, and Jeremy to the game in the rain.  It didn't rain too hard and the guys were able to have a good time (even though the Skins lost to Kansas City- no one loses to Kansas City).  I didn't send the camera with them, but Paul and I celebrated from the dry comfort of home...

Paul and Daddy cheer for the Redskins!

Happy Birthday Cousin Erin!!

Cousins Erin and Steve came to DC to celebrate Erin's 30th birthday.  We got to see them for a couple of nights on their visit and went out for a night on the town on Saturday.  It was great to see E&S and we had a wonderful time with all their awesome friends!!  I, of course, have no pictures of this event, but click on Erin's blog to the right and I'm sure she'll have a few posted.  In Erin's honor, I post the following montague:

Happy Birthday Erin!!!

Angie comes to visit!!

One of my best friends, Angie, came to visit for the weekend!  We had a great time doing a little site seeing and playing with Paul.  We tried really hard to take lots of pictures.  We get a 'D' for quantity, but even though it's not photo-documented, we had a great time.

This is what you get when you ask 3 young single guys to take your picture.  They're more than happy to do it, but they forget to include the baby.  Priorities...

Paul the Artist

Paul's school sent home a folder with his first art works.  I'm not sure how much he completed on his own, but it's cute to see what they do at school.

He likes to save crayons.

This one involved some cotton balls, construction paper, and paint.  I have trouble figuring out where Paul contributed.

This is Paul's playgroup and my baby-mama friends.  Lisa and Paul-Kesha and Carter-Lou Ann and Greyson-Shannon and Tyler-Megan and Bridget.

This is what it looks like when you try to line 5, 1 year olds up for a quick photo op.

This is about as close as we got.
