Happy 4th Birthday Olivia!!!

Our sweet baby girl is a big girl now!!  Olivia is 4 and seems older and older every day.

Olivia is currently a very girly girl who is also very tough.  She does dance class every week and practices in her dance clothes most days at  home.  She loves both her brothers and the 3 of them have a lot of fun together.  Their personalities are so different that they seem to meld and play together really well.

Olivia has her own room, but would love to share with her brothers, but she's a night owl!  Most nights, she's still wide awake, talking and singing in her bedroom after Matt and I have gone to sleep.  And she's almost always the last one up (excluding Matt of course).  Olivia's favorite colors are pink and purple and she loves all fruit, desserts, macaroni and cheese, and especially CANDY!!  She loves to play legos, dance class, race, and take care of her dolls.  She's the most animated little person I know and gets really excited about lots of fun stuff!!  She's getting better every day about how she expresses when she's not so happy too.  Less screaming, more words.  Way to go O!!

For her birthday, Olivia wanted to go to the bounce house and play with her friends, then have lunch at Red Robin.  We had a big group planned:16 kids, 16 adults, but ended up closer to 12 adults and 14 kids.  It was a lot of fun!!  Red Robin knew we were coming and they were well prepared to handle us.  After we ordered, Olivia opened her presents while her guests played with fun things from gift bags.  After lunch, Olivia got an ice cream sundae and a special birthday song!  She loved it and it was so much fun.  All her guests got a scoop of ice cream too!

After her big morning birthday bash, we headed home for naps.  We had a family birthday celebration that night with LOTS of presents and ice cream cake.

Olivia is such a sweet, smart, funny 4 year old!  We love you Olivia!!!

We even brought the Giraffe to the bounce house!!

Hawaii - Oahu - Ko'Olina

Les and Kathy were nice enough to let us tag along to Hawaii this year!!  We spent a week at their time share in Ko'Olina, one of Oahu's new resort areas.  We had a great time!! The weather was nice, just a few brief rain storms.  The room was big enough to fit us all, the pool right next to our building was perfect for the kids, and the man-made lagoons made for some fun beach days too!  Every afternoon during nap time I was lucky enough to have some mommy-time at the pool and it didn't hurt that it was also happy hour!!  Katha came with us and was a huge help and really enjoyed her Hawaii time.  We made a lot of yummy meals at home and Matt, Les, Kathy, and I got to go out to a fancy dinner at Monkeypod!  Delicious.  Here are some pictures from our trip.

This was our favorite swimming spot.

That's the Disney Resort next door.
This resort had free DVD rentals.  It was awesome.  The kids got free movie time whenever they wanted.

 The North Shore.

The lagoon was great for kiddos.

Paul got to go up for the kid show with the Chief.
Grandma Kathy got some fresh coconut juice.
 Night out at Monkeypod!

Riding the Pineapple Express at the Dole Plantation.

 Pineapple Ice Cream!

 Feeding real live ocean fish.
Paul learning to swim with Grandpa Les.
Every morning the babies would wake up SUPER early.  Well, Will would wake up at the normal time in Washington and then all the kids would be awake because they were all in the same room.  I was up anyways, so I would take the kids out for a walk and breakfast so everyone else could sleep.  Maybe my favorite time of the days.  Our Morning Walk.
Olivia maybe could have used some more sleep.
Paparazzi shot of the boys meeting Mickey at the Disney Resort.

Will was a little freaked out by a human sized mouse.  In board shorts.

Guess who refused to be in my picture??!!  Hint: It wasn't Matt.
