Christmas in Washington!

Paul, Matt and I were so lucky to get a trip to Washington State for Christmas this year!!!

Matt and I learned a valuable lesson in our travels this year: 15 month old children are NOT suitable lap passengers on 6 hour flights.  Paul is a little angel of energy and trying to contain him was not an enjoyable experience.  He got his very own plane ticket for the ride home.  That's how serious I am about this statement.

Our first stop was Wenatchee for a very Wiser Christmas.  Grandpa Mark was a saint and offered to pick M, P, and Me up at the Seattle airport so we wouldn't have to wait out the 5 hour layover for our Wenatchee flight.  We had a great trip back with a quick stop to Trader Joe's for wine and candy and a yummy lunch and the Snoqualmie Brewery.  I highly recommend a stop there sometime if you're in the area.  The food was delicious and the beer was pretty great too.

Grandma Dawn was ready for a grand-baby Christmas!  She had child-proofed Christmas decorations all over the house and made several Paul-friendly meals that made my trip even more enjoyable.  This Christmas was a great preview of future Christmases shared with cousins.  Little Henry was too young to truly enjoy everything Christmas has to offer, but watching Paul run wild and entertain us was a sneak peak of next Christmas when both Henry and Paul will be walking around (and maybe F2 I guess!).  It was such a great way to spend the holiday with family, friends, and babies.

Paul is either helping with diapers or just trying to steal Henry's blanket.

Matt and I REALLY get into the Christmas spirit.

Christmas torture with Uncle Andy.

Henry was feeling very Merry.
Paul was more than happy to break in one of Henry's gifts for him.
The first of many matching outfits.  Sorry boys...

Our next stop was Suncadia (near Cle Elum, WA) for Christmas Part II with the Fitches and Coffeys!  Patty and Kathy found a beautiful house to rent right off one of the golf course fareways.  Our group included: Les, Kathy, Matt, Lisa, Paul, Mike, Shannon, Patty, John, Megan, Branden, Erin, and Steve.  It was so great to see everyone and relax in our luxury Christmas getaway.  Paul got a lot of playtime with everybody and we all stayed on our toes making sure he didn't tear the house apart!  Thank you so much to Kathy and Patty for setting the trip up.  It was a wonderful time and we are happy we got to be there.  One of the highlights of the trip was a very hilarious game of Catch Phrase.  We were all rolling on the floors with that one...

Shannon and Erin are much better with the camera than Matt and I, so we didn't even get ours out for this part of the trip.  Below are a few of the photos from our time in Suncadia!

All in all, it was a great trip to Washington and we are so glad we went.  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our loved ones!!
