The big kids got another chance at the reel this year ath the Fishing Kids event at Island Lake park. The minimum age is 5, but what the hey... they meant well-behaved 3 year olds, right?
We went with Grandpa Les and Grandma Kathy and had a blast! The weather was perfect and the fish were biting!! Will got a cozy ride in the backpack and each kiddo caught their limit (2).
We fried up the trout for dinner and dined like true fisherman!! Daddy had a hot dog. :)
I hope to get these kids out on the lakes some more this summer! They got to keep their poles and they seem to really like it! Especially when they catch a fish every 10 minutes or so...
