Lauren and Paul

Our good friends Natalie and Lauren came to visit us this week!!  Lauren is such a cutie and we all had a great time eating, playing, and napping.  Life at the house was pretty hectic with a 1.5 year old, 1 year old, and 2 month old.  But with 2 moms on the case, everything ran pretty smooth.  We had a few outings to the local farm to see the animals and a monstorous trip to the mall.  Other than that, Natalie and I spent our days watching Paul and Lauren chase each other around and around and around.  It was so much fun to watch them play and I'm so happy that Natalie and Lauren made a trip to see us.  When we dropped them off at the airport today, Paul had big alligator tears as he watched his new best buddy head off to the airplane.  We can't wait to see them again very soon and very often!!!

Heading Home

For those of you who haven't heard, the Fitches are heading home!!!! That's right, we are moving back to Washington state in August.  We'll be living somewhere on the Kitsap peninsula near Matt's work.  He's been transferred back to Keyport, where he originally worked before we moved east.  We are all THRILLED to be back home near family, but will miss all our friends we've made on the east coast.

Beth's Bachelorette Party!!!

Olivia and I had a girl's weekend and headed to Rhode Island for Beth's Bachelorette Party!!!  Matt and Paul held down the fort at home.  Olivia did great on her first airplane flight.  My friend Tanya travelled with us and was a huge help in travelling with a baby.
Friday night we stayed at Mike and Beth's house.
Mike helped take care of Olivia while we got ready for the party.  They were tracking a racoon.
Beth's friends planned an ambush at Beth's house.

We had a great night of drinks and dinner and dancing!!!
Olivia stayed home with a babysitter and had a good time too.  I think she didn't get put down once, which is what she always prefers.
This was the awesome one-man-band that kept us dancing for hours.  He was so good!!
And this happened...

Truck Days!!!

The Town of Herndon Public Works department holds an annual "Open Truck" event where they bring in the big rigs and let all the kids take a turn "driving".  Paul has a huge fascination with trucks, so this was an event we were not going to pass up.  It was a beautiful day and we went with our friends Allison, Ben, and Molly.  Olivia didn't care much about the trucks, but Paul had a great time.
He is serious about his truck work.
This face is hilarious.  He's posing for next year's "kids n' trucks" calendar.
Somewhere along the way, we accidentally taught Paul that the word for truck is "yeah".  I think it went something like this:

Paul: Yeah? (and pointing at a truck)
Lisa: Yeah, that's a truck.
Paul: Yeah.
And just like that, it stuck.
