Matt and I hosted our first ever Garage Sale this weekend!! I had a lot more fun than I expected (and Matt had about as little fun as he expected). At the days end, we ended up $50 richer from our junk and we didn't even sell any of the big stuff!! I really liked haggling and in the end giving away our stuff for dirt cheap prices to the nicer families that stopped by. Paul even tried to adopt one family. He was having so much fun playing with their 3 year old that when they left, he just followed them down the drive way and even held onto the dad's hand. It was pretty cute, even though he was trying to make a break for it. I don't plan to host any more garage sales for another 5 years or so, until we accumulate more junk we need to purge. Now to find something to spend my winnings on!!! (we spent it once on dinner out on Saturday night, but I plan to spend it 3 or 4 more times!!)

I didn't realize how trashy this looks until I saw this picture. Wow. This is Paul's new car that he picked up at one of the neighbor's garage sales. It has a hole in the floorboard so he can Flinstone his way around the driveway. Right now, only the reverse gear is working!!
This is how Olivia enjoyed her first garage sale. This nifty little piece of equipment is one that I picked up when we had Paul off of Craigslist for $20. We didn't use it once with Paul, but I can see it becoming very handy for Olivia!
I can totally see you haggling. Too funny. And I'm way jealous of the Flinstone mobile!
